Summary of training video: Exposure Incident, Reporting and Follow Up
Exposure occurs any time you are in the vicinity of blood or body fluid, while an exposure incident is when those fluids get into your body or directly onto your skin. First, go and decontaminate yourself as fast as possible. Check for any other areas of contamination like clothing and decontaminate yourself. Then go find a supervisor or employer and explain what happened, where, how, why, and what you did to decontaminate. After this go to a medical professional to get treatment.
