Summary of training video: Hepatitis C Virus
Hepatitis C is a virus that affects the liver and is caused predominately by parenteral contact, or something getting through the skin, like in IV drug use or tattooing. The virus has an indeterminable incubation period, so it is unknown when someone will start to display symptoms. 80% of those exposed to the virus get Hepatitis C and have symptoms. There is no cure and no vaccine.
